FINE SCRATCHES

- Touch up with Ms clearcoat
LOSS OF Adhesion
Weakened material attraction between paint coats & substrates.
CAUSES
- Improper primer selection
- Unclean surface before repainting
TREATMENT
- Remove coats with poor adhesion
- Sand & clean substrates thoroughly with Nax degreaser
- Repaint with Nax Premila 238 2K Primer, Nax Premila 2400 Urethane Primer Grey, Nax Superio 2200 Primer, or Nippon Ultima U-750 Epoxy Primer

Decomposition, rusting, or oxidation of a metal in contact with its environment.
CAUSES
- Improper preparation of metal
- Moisture penetration from damaged paint onto metal substrate
TREATMENT
- Remove damaged paintwork by sanding, stripping, or sandblasting
- Repaint with Putty 33/66/Primer 777/2K/210TX
colour fading
General paint damage causing dull, oxidised, & desaturated paint over time
CAUSES
- Continuous UV exposure
- Overuse of abrasive cleaners
TREATMENT
- Sand & clean defective area
- Repaint with Primer 777/2k/3000 clearcoat to improve UV resistance
Loss Of Gloss
The decaying of glossy clear coat from wear & decay (matting).
CAUSES
- Paint sinkage
- Wrong hardener
- Poor UV resistance
TREATMENT
- Polish the defective area 3000 CK
Orange Peel
Irregularity in the surface of paint film resulting in a dimpled surface.
CAUSES
- Improper spray gun setting
- High Voc Clearcoat
- Thinner too fast dry
TREATMENT
- Sand, clean, & polish defective area with Saddy 1500 / Polish E3
Dirt & Dust
Small residue of foreign material coated in dried paint film.
CAUSES
- Improper cleaning before repainting
- Contaminated spray gun/booth
TREATMENT
- Polish the defective area Sand 1500
- If unsuccessful, sand & clean defective area thoroughly with Polish E3/Clearcoat 3000
Pinholes
A defect consisting of tiny holes on paint surfaces also known as cratering.
CAUSES
- Dirty environment
- Spray gun water filter
- Touch with silicon
- Flash off time
TREATMENT
- Fill the holes with Putty 33/66 / Primer 777/2K/3000
- If unsuccessful, sand & clean defective area
- Repaint with Alternative Products listed.
Chalking
The formation of white, chalky powder on the surface of the paint film.
CAUSES
- Improper product
- Clearcoat
- No primer
TREATMENT
- Polish the defective areas with Patty33/777/2k/3000/E3
- If unsuccessful, sand & clean thoroughly
Poor Opacity
Visible colours of underlying coats or fillers through the topcoat.
CAUSES
- Over thinner radius
- Thinner too slow dry
TREATMENT
- Sand & clean defective area
- Repaint with 800 Sandy/2K/3000
Sagging
Excessive flow on vertical surface resulting in drips on the painted surface.
CAUSES
- Improper spray gun setting
- Thin paint viscosity
- Short flashoff time when painting
- Thick paint application
TREATMENT
- Prepare low-grit sandpaper to condition area
- Sand, clean, & polish defective areas with 1500 sandpaper area/Polish E3
stone chipping
Areas of paint that has been chipped off from the surface.
CAUSES
- Impact of objects on paint surface
TREATMENT
- Touch up & spot repair defective area
- Repaint with E33/Primer 777/2K/300
